1978 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith
1978 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith

This is one of the most beautiful automobiles I have ever owned. It is one of the best and most unique of Rolls Royce motor cars.
It is finished in Caribbean Blue with a Dark Blue Everflex Roof, French Hide Interior, Masons Black Top and Knee Roll, Surf Blue Wilton Carpets and Sheepskin Over-Rugs, with an extensive service history. It comes with a period radio with cassette player.
A long-wheelbase variant (some five inches longer provided additional rear seat legroom) of the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, it was available from 1969. Initially, the long wheelbase model did not have a separate name, but in 1977, with the introduction of the Silver Shadow II, the longer car was dubbed the Silver Wraith II.
The Wraith II is identified by all of the alterations found on the Silver Shadow II and additionally an Everflex covered roof, a smaller rear opera-style window, and different wheel covers.
This very original example has covered only 87k miles from new and has clearly been well-maintained. Support of this maintenance is not only evident in the condition but also the extensive history file containing invoices for many thousands of pounds from one of the biggest Rolls Royce parts suppliers in the U.K. The car is finished in its original color with lovely dark blue leather upholstery and excellent walnut. The Wraith drives exceptionally well with a very smooth engine and gearbox. This very smart example is offered at a very sensible price considering the higher demand for the more scarce Wraith II.
